New four-page A5 Peace News briefing by editor Milan Rai setting out the facts about Winston Churchill’s belief in 1944 and early 1945 that the Pacific War could be won without either the use of the atomic bomb or a land invasion of Japan.

Churchill believed that either a Soviet declaration of war, or granting immunity to the Japanese emperor Hirohito, could achieve a Japanese surrender.
