The killing of Iranian general Qassem Suleimani in a US drone strike on 3 January has focused attention on the long history of US assassinations. (PN 2638–2639) But alongside that must be placed a similar British history.

Will the coronavirus pandemic change the way that we all do our politics and economics, or will we return to the same precarious globalising neoliberal world order? Worse still, could that world order already be mutating to pose an even greater threat to our livelihoods, freedoms and indeed life on Earth?

For the last few months PN columnist Penny Stone has been posting 'learn-and-sing-along' song videos on her website, as a way to help people who are social distancing to keep singing whilst ‘non-essential’ activities such as singing groups have been temporarily suspended.
