Supporting Peace News this winter …and enjoying yourself in the process

Dear friends,

Like many other radical organisations, Peace News runs on a shoe-string. Despite this scarcity of resources, we’re proud of the projects we’ve put on (one-offs like the mighty Rebellious Media Conference in 2011, and regular events like Peace News Summer Camp), and we’re proud of having kept the newspaper afloat.

  • You can help us keep going in a number of ways.
  •  You could give a gift of a 12-month sub to Peace News.
  •  You could organise a local benefit for PN.
  •  You could put Peace News into your will.
  •  You could make a donation to our appeal.

Gift sub

Give someone you love the gift of 10 issues of Peace News, for 100% nonviolence, unadulterated radicalism, and a totally different way of seeing the world.
Give them the best coverage of the Iran crisis they’re going to get in any paper, mainstream or radical, in the year of Iran.

Eat for peace

Organise a benefit dinner for Peace News! You can do this informally, by inviting people to come to dinner, get them to pay a small amount to benefit PN, cook them a hearty winter meal, then send us the surplus.

More formally, you could: hire some tables at a restaurant, then charge people a small premium to come to dinner.

Legacies

Like most national peace organisations, legacies are very important to Peace News.

If you haven’t yet made a will, and you would like to leave some money to PN, this text covers giving a specific sum:

‘I give to Peace News, 5 Caledonian Road, London N1 9DY, absolutely, the sum [amount in figures, amount in words], and I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or any other proper officer of Peace News for the time being shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.’

This is the text for giving a share of your estate:

‘I give all/a share [please state fraction or percentage] of the residue of my estate absolutely to Peace News, 5 Caledonian Road, London N1 9DY, and I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or any other proper officer of Peace News for the time being shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.’

Donation

Finally, you can just send us a cheque or donate online.

If you have trouble with our website, please do send us an email or give us a call.

Thank you for all your support!
